Matriculation Services for High School Seniors

A student's senior year is filled with academic and college planning, extra support from teachers and staff, transcripts, letters of recommendation and graduation. A one-time matriculation fee of $350 for all graduating seniors is paid at the onset of the senior year. Regardless of ceremony attendance or use of services, all students are required to pay the Matriculation Service Fee. This fee covers costs (except college application fees) of services associated with matriculation and graduation from Laurel Springs School (LSS).

In effort to provide outstanding support to our graduating seniors, we host a full graduation ceremony and reception. All attending seniors will receive a rented cap and gown for the ceremony.

Graduating seniors are offered the following personalized matriculation services:

  • High School transcript fees
  • Recommendation/transcript services for up to three years after graduation
  • Transcript review for graduation
  • Opportunity to attend the graduation ceremony and reception
  • LSS Diploma case and tassel
  • A Senior Core Teacher to serve as a mentor and guide through the senior year.
  • Up to ten letters of recommendation. (Five from their Academic Advisor and five from their Core Teacher.) Any recommendations in excess of five, from either the Academic Advisor or their Core Teacher, will incur an additional fee of $25.00 for each recommendation.

Note: This is a non-refundable, one-time fee applicable to all graduating LSS seniors.

Core Teacher Service for High School Seniors

During the senior year, high school students have a lot on their mind. From college applications to SATs, to prom night and graduation, they're excited and overwhelmed. At Laurel Springs School we offer each high school senior the extra support of a Core Teacher to serve as a counselor, guide and friend. Senior Core Teacher is included in the Matriculation fee.
The core teacher will:

  • work in conjunction with the college counselor to advise and guide.
  • encourage, nurture, focus, calm and motivate as needed.
  • assist in preparation of the college application essay.
  • write college recommendation letters (up to 5).
  • speak for the student at graduation.
  • maintain contact with student throughout senior year (monthly).
  • maintain contact with other senior teachers to ensure that student is on track for graduation.
Current Laurel Springs students may invite any Laurel Springs teacher to be their Core Teacher. Incoming seniors will be assigned a Core Teacher by their college advisor.
