Laurel Springs College Prep Graduation Requirements

Depending on their own personal desires and future goals, high school students create a curriculum of studies customized just for them! Students can construct a high school curriculum to prepare them for college and earn a college-prep academic diploma upon completing 225 units (credits) of academic and elective courses. Students earn 10 units (1 year) of credit for each 36-week course.

An Enrollment Advisor will work with each high school student on an official academic plan for graduation and to earn a diploma.

When planning for college, it is extremely important that students become familiar with the admissions requirements of the college(s) to which they plan to apply. Laurel Springs' Enrollment Advisors and teachers assist students in developing a personalized academic plan unique to each student's academic goals.

* Must include at minimum, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2 or higher level math.

** Must be 2 years of the same language.

*** Students are required to take the one-semester course College and Career Planning in their first year of high school at Laurel Springs.


*** Elective portfolios are available to document credit for any non-LSS elective course. Elective portfolios give students the opportunity to pursue life goals such as skating, acting, equestrian, motocross, surfing, tennis or ballet and receive elective credit for their achievements!
