Your Academic Plan
The academic plan is the result of a collaborative process between the family, admissions office, and counseling department. The process ensures that we address our students’ specific needs and goals so that they are successful in our program.
The academic plan recommends carefully-tailored placement options based on the student’s talents, skills, and educational experiences. The counseling department reviews the proposed academic plan, and makes adjustments or recommendations for course selection (including honors or AP curriculum) to meet the student’s goals. Please speak with your school counselor to ensure you are on track to gain acceptance to the college of your choice.
College Application Process and Recommendation Letters
The application process should be completed at least four weeks prior to the application deadline. Recommendations should be planned months in advance, and should be received by the person writing the recommendation six weeks prior to the application deadline. Keep in mind that your school counselor requires adequate time and information to write a high-quality recommendation about you and your academic strengths.
We encourage our students to download and review the College Application & Recommendation Policy and Student Recommendation Information Form as soon as possible. Please review the application process, and complete the forms. You may answer questions on a separate piece of paper if you require more space. Once the College Counseling Department receives your forms, your school counselor will call to discuss your college options and goals. Please mail the forms to:
