Our students in kindergarten through fifth grade enjoy childhood as a time for exploration, emotional growth, physical development, and fun. In elementary school, we nurture the natural love of learning with caring teachers and stimulating curriculum, as well as courses that are matched to each student’s level of proficiency.
Our project-based elementary curriculum integrates classic literary themes across all subject areas. This approach gives homeschool families the best of both worlds: our parents are fully supported with teachers and curriculum, yet they can choose projects that take advantage of resources available at home or in the local community. Our students emerge from our elementary program with the learning skills necessary to handle more challenging middle school work.

“Our family has two children enrolled in Laurel Springs (5th grade and 1st grade). We have been very happy with the program. One of our daughters had complained for several years about being bored with school. I often wondered if perhaps she needed to be in a higher grade level, but I didn’t like the idea of skipping grades in a traditional school setting because of the age differences of the children. In a distance learning environment, it is no problem. She no longer complains of being bored with school. I am a strong believer in keeping children challenged and motivated, so they always enjoy learning and do not get bored. I am so glad we made the switch.”
”Laurel Springs allows us the flexibility to engage in distance learning and actually see the places we learn about. This year, we have visited New York City so the children visited the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building, Central Park, and St. Patrick’s Cathedral. They learned how to use a subway, how to use a train, and learned a little about aviation. Also, we were able to show them parts of our state that they had never seen. We plan to visit Washington, DC to tour the capitol and visit the many historical places in DC. The distance learning experience at Laurel Springs allows for really interesting field trips.”
